Create a DVLA Driving licence check code

Since the 8th June 2015 the counterpart to the photocard driving licence has been abolished. Offences are no longer recorded on the counterpart or the old style paper licence.

We are now required to check your licence details with DVLA at www.gov.uk which allows you to share your details with us.

To check your licence details you will need to provide us with a unique case sensitive code which you can request from DVLA. The code can be generated up to 21 days before the start of your hire and can only be used once although you can have up to 15 check codes at any given time. For ease we have provided a link below.

If you are unable to create a code online you can call DVLA on 0300 083 0013 to request one.

You will need the following information ...
your driving licence number
the postcode displayed on your driving licence
your national insurance number
